Table Tennis is one of the many sporting activities offered at Rossmoor, a gated community for active seniors located in Walnut Creek, California. The Table Tennis club had been using a temporary modular building located on an existing parking lot for many years. The new 4,400 sq ft building blends into its environment with a hillside location and cedar siding. This state-of-the-art facility was designed for five standard sized table tennis courts, a social area for match watching, a small kitchenette, two restrooms and a storage area for resident’s table tennis equipment. The floors are painted red and the walls blue to allow better visibility of the ball. Skylights bring natural light into the windowless building. Since the building has been completed, membership to the Table Tennis club jumped from 75 to 300 members.
