Fonda’s Restaurant

Our firm converted this former auto repair shop into an inviting two-level restaurant. Our design for the 2,360 square foot building incorporates its original wood and brick elements, and adds sliding glass doors that open onto a sidewalk dining area. Seating inside is cozy, with a mix of wooden tables, high bar tables, metal bistro furniture on the lively main floor, and upholstered banquettes and easy chairs in the quieter mezzanine above. The mezzanine gives upstairs diners a bird’s-eye view of what’s going on below, while defining one of the many different spaces available for guests.
