Our firm worked with the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation on the rehabilitation of the Sierra Madre Apartments, which include 42 studio units and 5 one-bedroom units of affordable housing for low and very low income households. The 1923 building was converted to affordable housing by TNDC in 1983, and our rehabilitation project was completed in 2002, providing necessary building system upgrades, improving fire and other safety items, adding accessibility features, and improving the overall quality of the building. On-site amenities include a community room and courtyard area for residents, as well as space for community services.
